Introducing IMRC's Prescon sensors, from the cutting edge
in technology, IMRC Prescon sensors offer state-of-the-art
sensitivity to measure low pressures. The Prescon
sensor converts pressure fields to a resistance reading of
ohmic response. The thick film polymer Prescon
sensors give variable resistance reading output in ohms as
variable pressure is applied. They are constructed
with thick film polymer composite materials and are
similar in geometry and design to a flat panel membrane
switch circuit. The sensor's thickness is usually
less than 25 mils but this can be modified for different
applications. The Prescon sensors generally operate
in a temperature range of -60°C to 130°C, and have
conductive traces and leads that can be connected to
electronic instrumentation for circuit application.
Prescon sensors are availiable with conductive paths that
can be soldered to, when used in printed circuit boards,
hybrid circuits, or on substrates that will withstand
soldering temperatures and processes.
